Joint Venture Cooperation Project", the company focuses on the research

Relying on the "Bismuth Telluride based Thermoelectric Materials Joint Venture Cooperation Project", the company focuses on the research and development of functional thermoelectric materials and new thermoelectric converters. At the same time, it conducts the production of high-performance thermoelectric devices and functional thermoelectric materials, as well as the production of high-purity selenium, tellurium and their compounds. Through the construction of an intelligent production base, a complete thermal power industrial chain integrating R&D, production, sales and personnel training will be gradually formed, from basic materials to functional materials and then to terminal applications. It will steadily develop towards the scale, characteristics, differentiation and high-end of the thermal power industrial chain, and achieve the harmonious unity of economic benefits and environmental benefits. Finally, a modern, diversified, intelligent and innovative production base will be established in Jinchang.
At present, the project has built a production line with an annual output of 500 tons of refined selenium, 300 tons of selenium dioxide, 12 tons of sodium selenite and 50 tons of refined tellurium. The annual production line of 10 tons of bismuth telluride crystal bars, 25 tons of bismuth telluride powder, 4 million thermoelectric devices, 11.5 tons of 4N refined tellurium, 4.5 tons of 5N-7N high-purity tellurium, 25.25 tons of 3N refined selenium and 4.5 tons of 5N-7N high-purity selenium has been completed in the third plant area.
On the one hand, the project construction meets the demand of bismuth telluride crystal bars for raw materials, on the other hand, it produces selenium dioxide, high-purity selenium, high-purity tellurium and other products with market capacity and value in the process of producing refined selenium and refined tellurium; Bismuth telluride crystal bar production line and subsequent thermoelectric material cutting and assembly process production line will extend the application of upstream high-purity products, and finally realize the circular economic development with good economic benefits, energy conservation and environmental protection. To form a complete high-quality industrial chain of thermoelectric industry covering basic materials, thermoelectric functional materials, high-performance thermoelectric devices and terminal applications, integrating R&D, production, sales and personnel training, and steadily develop towards the scale, characteristics, differentiation and high-end of the thermoelectric industry chain. We should make sure that no one has anything but ourselves, that we are strong and that we are good. Practice the road of circular economy development with high technology content, good economic benefits, energy conservation and environmental protection to achieve the harmonious unity of economic benefits and environmental benefits. An innovative high-tech company with an annual sales volume of 100 million yuan will be formed and listed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board.
Bismuth telluride thermoelectric material is a functional material that can realize the direct conversion of thermal energy and electrical energy. Its core material is broken bismuth crystal. With the continuous development of thermoelectric device application projects, the dimensionless merit coefficient Z of bismuth telluride crystal is required to be greater than 1.0, and the mechanical strength and material utilization must be greatly improved under the existing technical indicators. Therefore, developing and producing high-performance and high-strength bismuth telluride thermoelectric crystals is an unavoidable task for the performance level of domestic thermoelectric materials and thermoelectric devices at present, and is also the key to expand the application of thermoelectric devices. By focusing on the development of advanced crystal production processes and solving the problem of batch production of high-performance and high-strength bismuth telluride and thermoelectric crystals, we can provide reliable materials for the production of high-performance thermoelectric cooling devices and thermoelectric generator components, and also provide a solid guarantee for further development of thermoelectric cooling and thermoelectric power generation applications.
According to the preliminary market survey, since no new thermoelectric materials have entered the commercialization stage, bismuth telluride and thermoelectric materials for thermoelectric cooling and thermoelectric power generation are still in a stable development stage. In the United States, there are still new companies engaged in thermoelectric devices and thermoelectric applications. For example, in the triangle R&D area of North Carolina, the newly established Phononic company has introduced thermoelectric cooling applications into the medical and pharmaceutical fields by developing new processes and devices. Marlow of II-VI Company successfully entered the optical communication industry by developing various micro devices. Some infrared detector manufacturers are also constantly using single-stage or two-stage cooling to improve the performance of infrared detectors. The Berkel Energy Company in Colorado, USA is vigorously developing thermoelectric generator components and systems. They will launch commercial thermoelectric generator sets from 1KW to 50KW, which indicates that the thermoelectric market is still under development. Moreover, in the next 5-10 years, with the rapid development of the Internet of Things, sensors or sensors with their own power supply will be a key component in the Internet of Things. There is no doubt that bismuth telluride thermoelectric materials and thermoelectric devices made of bismuth telluride materials will receive more attention and have wider applications. With the development of nanotechnology and the development of various flexible processes, bismuth telluride thermoelectric materials are bound to be widely used in human power generation and wearable equipment applications, leading the thermoelectric industry to a broader application field.
